Our Lenten Journey

Our Lenten journey began with a Prayer Service on Ash Wednesday. Donations where collected that same week for the Development and Peace Organization which our Diocese sponsors and we have traditionally sponsored.
There has been an ongoing collection of non-perishable food items which will be donated to local food banks.
Our daily prayer is an invitation to grow in our relationship with God.
Third period classes have been scheduled to come to the Chapel to pray the Stations of the Cross.
Students will have the opportunity to walk over to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation on April 5th.

Once again we will have a p.a. prayer service on Holy Thursday and staff and students will participate in a morning of volunteer service at various locations in the Windsor area. This is an opportunity to go out and live the Gospel message of service.  This is not to be confused with the gov't graduate expectations of community service hours. This day of volunteering is our gift to others in response to the Gospel message.

Let us pray that our Lenten observances  of fasting, prayer and almsgiving (charity) be sustained through the 40 days of Lent so that that we may be  refreshed and renewed to celebrate the joy of Christ's Easter resurrection.  Amen.

World Water Day

World Water Day

22 March 2017

World Water Day is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.

An international day to celebrate freshwater was recommended at the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED). The United Nations General Assembly responded by designating 22 March 1993 as the first World Water Day.

Each year, World Water Day highlights a specific aspect of fresh water. In 2017, the theme is "Wastewater."

Today there are over 663 million people living without  safe water close to them. They are forced to go a distance to get safe drinking water or forced to use contaminated water.

Please google World Water Day for more information on how you might respond to this crisis.
