Did you know that Brennan has a Best Buddies Chapter?
Best Buddies Canada is a national charitable organization dedicated to enhancing our communities through one-to-one friendships between people with developmental and intellectual disabilities or those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and student volunteers.
Best Buddies is an international program founded in 1988 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver, nephew to former president John F. Kennedy. Today the program operates in elementary, high school, colleges and universities.
Best Buddies is about making a difference in the lives of students!
Best Buddies Programs help increase a sense of self-worth which may lead to students securing successful jobs, learning how to ride public transportation, etc.
Our program is about equity and inclusion.
At Brennan, students meet mostly on Thursday's for lunch. Following lunch students engage in conversations, play games, listen to music etc.
